ABOUT ME
I didn't really set out to become a filmmaker. I have always been a writer, and started taking photos because I loved making ordinary moments sing, so filmmaking felt like the natural next step.
I began my career in commercial production, which meant I learnt pretty quickly that good ideas aren't much use if you can't actually make them happen. Working across concept development, production and post-production taught me to be adaptable, but it also changed the way I think creatively. I'm interested in finding the strongest idea than the biggest one, and I like figuring out how to communicate something clearly without losing what made it interesting in the first place.
Most of the work I make, whether it's commercial or narrative, starts in the same place: people. The conversations they avoid having. The little habits they don't notice. The things that are difficult to explain but easy to recognise when you see them. Those are usually the stories I end up wanting to tell.
Got a project you'd like fresh perspective on? You're in the right place.
